PAINTING #2 ROAD AND SUNSET FANTASY

This is my third painting I did and I got the idea from youtube.
It's called Road and Sunset Fantasy.
This is one of my favorites that I painted (click it to see it bigger).  I like how the sky and the trees turned out.
The materials I used are: a canvas board, Colore' acrylic paint, and a variety of brushes.

PAINTING # 1 RAINBOW TREE

I started a new hobby this summer.....acrylic painting!!  It's been so fun, I just LOVE it.  One day I was on youtube minding my own business and I just stumbled upon a video and I thought, "hmm..."  I watched it and I was like, "Hmm..."  And then I tried it and I was like, "HMM..." and I really liked it.  I clicked to where I could see all of her videos and she had a ton.  They all looked really great.  So I gave it a try and soon I was painting!  The videos explain things very good and step by step so that anyone can paint.

This is my first painting.
It's a rainbow tree on a hill.
Click on it to see it better.
I painted it on just a large sheet of mixed media paper, because I forgot we had a bunch of canvases in different sizes that my brother no longer wanted.  The rest of my paintings I painted on canvas.

I used Colore' Acrylic Paint and used Q-tips to make the leaves.

I think it turned out good for my first painting.  I'll be showing you more soon!

BOOK REVIEW # 8 JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH

James and the Giant Peach
By Roald Dahl
My Rating ★★★★☆

I liked it, it's about a boy named James who goes to live on top of a hill with his two aunts after his parents died. Their names are Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge and he is not allowed to leave the hill. After living with his aunts for three years a man gives him a bag full of tiny green things, but then James fell and spilled them on the ground by an old peach tree that hasn't grown a peach for years. Soon after, a peach starts to grow from the tree and it keeps getting bigger and bigger until it's the size of a house and Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge start charging people to come look at it while James is locked in his room. Later when everyone leaves he's sent outside to pick up garbage but instead he goes to the peach and he discovers a hole near the bottom of the peach. He then crawls through the hole up to the center of the peach and he goes through a door and he enters into the peach stone to find a bunch of huge bugs that can talk. There is a ladybug, a centipede, a spider, an earth worm and some others. James becomes friends with the bugs and he stays and  sleeps in the middle of the peach. In the morning they take off rolling down the hill. If you want to find out what happens to James and his friends then you'll have to read the book. I borrowed the movie from the library, but I watched like 5 minutes of it and I didn't like it at all. The book was much better.

BOOK REVIEW # 7 REDWALL

REDWALL
By Brian Jacues
My Rating ★★★★☆

I liked it, it is about a mouse named Matthias that wants to be like Martin, a mighty warrior who died long ago. He gets his chance when Redwall is under attack by Cluny the Scourge and his horde. Cluny is a terrible rat with one eye and he uses his tail for a whip and he wants Redwall for himself. Matthias has to solve a puzzle to be able to get Martins mighty sword. On the way he befriends a sparrow named Warbeak who helps him.

If you want to know what happens you'll have to read it to find out.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST CD (AND MOVIE)!!!

I LOVED THE MOVIE!!!!
I think it's the best movie ever and it's gonna win a bunch of awards, because its the greatest movie of all time. We got the Deluxe Edition Soundtrack on Amazon and it's great!!

It comes with two CD's, one with the songs and one with the score. It also comes with the lyrics to all the songs, so you can sing along.

Here is the list of songs:
1. Overture
2. Main Title Prologue Pt. 1
3. Aria
4. Main Title Prologue Pt. 2
5. Belle
6. How Does A Moment Last Forever (Music Box)
7. Belle (Reprise)
8. Gaston
9. Be Our Guest
10. Days In The Sun
11. Something There
12. How Does A Moment Last Forever (Montmartre)
13. Beauty And The Beast
14. Evermore
15. The Mob Song
16. Beauty And The Beast (Finale)
17. How Does A Moment Last Forever (By Celine Dion)
18. Beauty And The Beast (By Ariana Grande and John Legend)
19. Evermore (By Josh Groban)

Then there are five Bonus songs sung by Alan Menken, that I'm not a big fan of. They are......

Aria (Demo)
How Does A Moment Last Forever Music Box (Demo)
Days In The Sun (Demo)
How Does A Moment Last Forever Montmartre (Demo)
Evermore (Demo)

I love disc one of this CD. I listen to it every day and I really like that it has a booklet with all the lyrics in it.  But after song 18 I go back to song 1.  I don't like 19 - 24 at all.  I only listened to disc 2 once.  It's the score.  It's just ok.  If you don't want the score, and don't want the extra songs, then you should just get the regular CD (with songs 1 - 19) not the Deluxe.

I can't wait until the movie comes out on DVD, it's the best movie I've ever seen in my life. I even went to the movie theater twice to see it and my mom almost cried both times. The characters and the music is just amazing! I highly recommend both the CD and the movie.

Update: I just got the movie and it's great!!!!

BOOK REVIEW #6 REMARKABLE

Remarkable
By Lizzie K. Foley
My Rating ★★★★★

I loved it! It's about a girl named Jane who lives in a town called Remarkable where everybody and everything is remarkable......except for Jane and her Grandpa John, who are not remarkable at all.

Jane lives with her dad Anderson Brigby Bright Doe II (an award-winning novelist), her mom Angelina Mona Linda Doe (a famous architect), her older brother Anderson Brigby Bright Doe the III (a photo-realistic painter), and her younger sister Penelope Hope Adelaide Catalina (a mathematician). One day, Jane becomes friends with a pirate Captain named Rojo Herring.

In Remarkable, everyone goes to the Remarkable's  School for the Remarkably Gifted, except Jane because she isn't gifted at anything...... she's just a plain Jane Doe. She goes to the regular public school where she is the only student. That is, until the Grimlet twins get suspended from the school for the Remarkably Gifted and have to go to the regular public school.

Eddie and Melissa Grimlet are very mischievous and are always writing and planning their new tricks in their book of Dangerous Deeds and Dastardly Intentions. They cause a lot of  chaos and they even get their new teacher, Ms Schnabel, to teach piracy and turn the classroom into a pirate ship with a wheel and plank.

More things happen in the book, but you'll have to read it to find out for yourself.  I would recommend this book for all girls ages 10-13, but I don't know if boys will like it. It seems like girls read books about boys and girls, but boys read books about boys...... the main character in Remarkable is a girl (Jane).
